This cable replaces APC part numbers 940-0024, 940-0024B and 940-0024C.

This is not a standard cable. It’s specially wired to interface with these models. An ordinary cable won’t work. The cable connects between the 9-contact (DB9) female connector on the UPS and a 9-pin DB9 serial port on the back of your computer.
